Having worn glasses and contact lenses at a young age, Dr. Murphy knew she wanted to be an optometrist! She graduated from the University of Missouri – Saint Louis College of Optometry in 1988, is a member of local and state optometric associations, and has been in private practice for over 25 years! With 10 years of dedicated service to the Crestwood community, Dr. Murphy specializes in primary eye care, contact lenses, and macular degeneration.

Driven by her journey with ocular melanoma, she is passionate about offering state-of-the-art technology for early detection of ocular disease and is dedicated to empowering her patients with the best in eye care. 

Beyond her passion for eye health, she cherishes moments with her husband Tom, indulging in reality TV (she is a big Real Housewives fan) and cooking (her lemon orzo pasta is a staff favorite!).

Dr. Tantsits has been a doctor at Primary Eyecare & Eyeware since July of 2020 when she graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry.  But Dr Tantsits was no stranger to our office as she had been working here as an optician for 5 years as she finished up her undergraduate degree at St. Louis University, and throughout her optometry school years. She has always been interested in private practice and has helped our office grow in so very many ways since she came on board.

Aside from loving to practice primary care optometry, her passions within the practice are dry eye, myopia management, and macular degeneration.  Her passion and love of new ideas to implement into the practice ensure a healthy future for her at the office, with plans of buying into the practice and becoming the eventual owner down the road.  She is passionate about optometry and belongs to local, state, and national optometric organizations.  She is a joy to have in the office!

Dr. Tantsits is married to her husband Nick, and they have one very adorable daughter, Poppy, who recently turned one year old.  Her hobbies which she fits in with being a doctor, wife, and mother are crocheting, reading, and watching true crime stories.
